About Harvest Market

Every food product is grown or made somewhere, by someone. What’s the story? How is the product made? We work with producers and growers where the leadership team knows the product and might even make the product. We’re looking for real products made with a real human touch. And of course, this means that there really is a person or group to even talk to about these products.

It is important for our customers to know that the products featured here are hand-picked by the Harvest Market team and that there’s a rigorous curation process happening at Harvest Market. We will share these stories. That also means that the farmers, makers and manufacturers can openly share the stories with us, too.

It's like an uppity "yt liberal" kind of environment where people wear surgeons masks & bright colored hair dye. They make you feel unwelcome & flex weaponized rudeness if you appear to be non affluent / poor. They only want those who meet certain identity profiles inside of their environment, that's their way it achieving exclusivity / segregation, by making you feel like you don't belong here, it's like part of their brand as they strive to appeal to uppity affluent / academia class type people cut from a certain cloth. If you appear to be a blue color / manual labor / urban inner city / section 8 / or lower class person, they will tactically & intentionally treat you differently than they would treat a fellow surgeons mask / hair dye / suburban / U of I type person in hopes that you don't return.

Ham and cheese omelet was really nice with plenty of ham. Hash browns I asked for crispy but they were barely cooked thru and certainly not crispy. Toast is nice thick cuts. A bit pricier but was good. The market, again, is pricier but the produce and deli meats are awesome. We are already sure we will be taking the hour + drive there again.

I bought an entire bread here today, only to realize it was covered in mold. To make matters worse, the cashier never handed me my receipt at checkout, which I didn't notice until I needed it. When I returned to the store just 10 minutes later, the employee at the desk refused to refund my credit card, offering me a store gift card instead. I had to repeatedly decline and explicitly point out that she could easily look up the transaction in their system using my payment card. Once I said that, she found it and processed the refund to my credit card in five seconds. I eventually got my money back, but it's not a pleasant experience.

I ordered a sheet cake for a graduation party at Harvest Market. Pam in the bakery was super helpful and accommodating. The cake was decorated just as we discussed. Many of our guests raved about the cake saying it was one of the best cakes they had ever eaten. I called about 8 bakeries and Harvest Market was, by far, the most accommodating, fairly priced, and made a delicious cake.

Nick at the coffee bar and Scott+Shawn (spelling?) in the meat-n-fish counter were all polite, remarkably helpful and thoughtful. And I love the restaurant/table area environment β€”Β fantastic spot to sit, eat and work on my laptop. Well done Harvest Market management for enabling such a great team πŸ– πŸ₯¦ 🐟
